What is Amtgard?

Amtgard is a medieval fantasy combat society that combines history and fantasy to create an exciting experience. In addition to our combat activities, our organization sponsors and participates in a wide array of social and educational activities, including multi-day retreats, crafting classes, leadership classes, historical education, and social gatherings. 

Getting Started

The rulebook contains the basis of the game that we play during standard “park days.” 

In order to participate in the competitive physical portions for Amtgard activities, all participants must have an active (per calendar year) waiver on file.

Summer Meetings: Sundays 2-5 PM at Sherrod Soccer Fields in Palmer (501 N. Gulkana St. Palmer)

Winter Meetings: Sundays from 2-5 PM at Borough Gym in Palmer (350 E. Dahlia Ave, Palmer). Winter Games have a site fee of $5 per person, per day.

Anchorage

Anchorage is home to the Duchy of Lupine Moon.

Summer meetings: Saturday from 12:00 – 4:00pm at Russian Jack Springs Park. Look for them in the soccer fields behind the playground!

Winter meetings: 1:00pm – 3:00pm at the Salvation Army Community Center. Winter Games have a site fee of $5 per person, per day.

Summer meetings: Soldotna Creek Park, Soldotna every Sunday from 1pm – 4pm.

Winter meetings: Kenai Rec Center from 1:00 – 3:00 pm every Sunday during the winter months.
